Our annual Congregational Meeting Part 1 will be held after worship on Sunday the 24th of February, 2019. On this date we will have a vote on the Nominating Committee as well as well as a review of the 2018 Annual Report. Four members from the congregation are needed for this committee. (Council members on Nomination Committee are Julia Beckwith and Dora Mallett.)
The Sanctuary Candle has been dedicated by Pastor George Willis to the glory of God and in memory of Ed and Marie Reeves.
Did you know that 795 million people worldwide do not have enough food to lead a healthy, active life? You can feed our neighbors here and around the world! See Carol Sutton if you would like to donate and or to join the team to walk on March 3rd.
Food for the Poor
Please join us to hear the Rev. Robert Berger speak at the March 3rd service about a ministry providing direct relief to the poor throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Pastor Berger will share personal witness about food For The Poor’s mission to care for the destitute as a means of living out the Gospel mandate to love one another.
Custom made Faith T-shirts
In the next couple of weeks, be on the lookout for a survey in the worship bulletin to find out the level of interest for our very own T-shirts! We are looking to have made custom T-shirts that have our church’s name to show our support and pride for our church home. Each shirt will be less than 10 dollars. Please return your survey to Christine Medrano.
Tuesday, March 5th, is Shrove Tuesday and Mardi Gras! Make a reservation and get your fill before Lent starts. The pancake dinner is from 5:30 to 6:30 pm and then the fun and games begin. Look for the reservation forms in the fellowship hall and in this coming Sunday’s worship bulletin. Return your reservation to Debbie Boyer or leave a message at the office at 386-734-2791.
Help us with Food for Fellowship!
As you may know, we at Faith enjoy refreshments and snacks as well as fellowship after Sunday worship. Our volunteer hosts are always happy to provide these delights for us, especially those dishes they know we love. As you can imagine, this can get expensive – especially for those who host fellowship for us regularly. In appreciation for the good food they bring to us every week, we would like to help them out by bringing in food for fellowship. This will help their pocket books as well as our fellowship pantry! The best foods and drinks to bring in are those with a long shelf life such as sealed cookies, crisps, bottled tea, crackers and other snacks, but especially refreshments! Thanks!
The Altar Guild prepares the sanctuary for worship services. Members are responsible for the care and cleaning of the altar paraments, and are very knowledgeable in the aspects of the liturgy and Church seasons. There is no experience necessary, and training will be provided. If you would like to help serve the congregation by filling this vital role, please call the church office at 386-734-2791.
