Advent Mid-week Services
Our Wednesday Services in Advent began December 6th. Dinner and Evening Prayer will begin at 6 p.m. Advent provides a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to worship and prepare together as we eagerly await the significant event of Christmas. Let us remember God’s gift to us together!
1st Annual Holiday Blanket Drive
The Boy Scout Troop 725 is holding their first Annual Blanket Drive for the Needy from November 24th to the 17th of December. Personal hygiene products are also welcome! If you have any questions, please contact Donna Bouchard at 386-852-0123.
The Angel Tree was put up Saturday December 3rd. Pick up an Angel! Your gifts will be collected to be delivered to the Spring Hill Resource Center on December 17th. For questions, call Carol. Her number is 386-734-9535 (daytime) and 386-717-0804 (evening). Thanks!
Lutheran World Relief
For those with school aged kids, you know the routine: Get in on all the sales for school supplies! This works for those participating in Lutheran World Relief’s Kit program too. Though we collect these kit items by January 1st and deliver them to the ware house in February, the best time to get these items is early.
In the Fellowship Hall are lists of items you can pick up and use as a guide while gathering these supplies when the prices are the lowest. Happy gathering and thanks!
Thank You Service Assistants!
For the December17th service, your assistants are: Ushers – Danny and Marianne Stewart; Communion Assistants – Janice Cornwell, Helen Martin, Nancy Dascher; Acolyte – Debby Boyer; Lector – Cornelia Policke.
Join Faith on Saturday at 5:30pm on the 23rd of December for our Annual Live Nativity! This is one of our most loved events and this year you’ll enjoy a Spaghetti Dinner – it’s free - hot chocolate and cookies! The Christmas story will be told through music, theater and carols.
Help us with Food for Fellowship!
As you may know, we at Faith enjoy refreshments and snacks as well as fellowship after Sunday worship. Our volunteer hosts are always happy to provide these delights for us, especially those dishes they know we love. As you can imagine, this can get expensive – especially for those who host fellowship for us regularly. In appreciation for the good food they bring to us every week, we would like to help them out by bringing in food for fellowship. This will help their pocket books as well as our fellowship pantry! The best foods and drinks to bring in are those with a long shelf life such as sealed cookies, crisps, bottled tea, crackers and other snacks, but especially refreshments! Thanks!
The Altar Guild prepares the sanctuary for worship services. Members are responsible for the care and cleaning of the altar paraments, and are very knowledgeable in the aspects of the liturgy and Church seasons. There is no experience necessary, and training will be provided. If you would like to help serve the congregation by filling this vital role, please call the church office.
PLEASE REMEMBER IN YOUR DAILY PRAYERS: all those on our prayer chain, including: Pastor Kistler, Lance Borows, Wilma Brokaw, Millie Glover, Ray Bebee, Carl Carey, Roy Erickson, Anna Anderson, Craig Parrillo, Faith Eriksen, Virginia Fauble, Martha Whitley, Kerry Sholtis, Jackie Hays, and Corinne Martinez.
